About Amara Inostroza
Amara Inostroza is a Clinical Psychologist specialised in adult, adolescent, and child psychology. Her career progression includes working with children and families in Community Health. She also worked as a Crisis counsellor in the Sexual Assault Forensic Team. Developed health psychology skills as a Clinical Psychologist within Multiple Sclerosis Australia. As well as a Developmental Psychologist for Sydney Developmental Clinic specialising in ADHD. Amara focuses on wholistic care, including lifestyle modification, nutrition and exercise, and clinical interventions.

Our Approach
Having worked in various services, Amara decided to set up a boutique clinical service within the Parramatta community. A clinic where she can bring her senior clinical skills, professionalism, and caring nature to clients wanting quality mental health care.
Our Story
Her special interests include child psychology, family therapy, and adult mental health. Intake presentations include:
- Mood Disorders such as Major Depression and Bipolar
- Anxiety disorders including Generalised Anxiety, Panic, Phobias and Selective Mutism
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Hoarding
- Trauma , Dissociation and stress
- Eating Disorders
- Elimination Disorders
- Relationship problems
She has conducted research on Tinnitus and concentration, the development of Theory of Mind in children. As well as investigated the self-care practises of adults with Multiple Sclerosis. She provides evidence based clinical assessment, developmental/cognitive assessments and intervention.
Her specialised training interventions include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma work and EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Amara has a warm and collaborative approach with her clients. She is committed to empowering her clients to achieve their desired goals.
